Life is four rocks and a tape measure

Start with four rocks and a tape measure and
A half hour before bath time
Almost a week later
In another stolen moment
Add in
A drainage pipe
Eight more rocks and
Substitute a size thirteen shoe
For the tape measure I don’t feel like getting out of the garage and
What you have is
Not anywhere close to a sandbox and
Two raised garden beds but
Is a perfect analogy for life
